
ABOUT SINDART

Founded in 1958, Sindart, the oldest slipper store in Hong Kong, is reputed for its Chinese traditional style embroidered slippers and shoes that are suitable for Chinese traditional wedding.
GENERAL INFORMATION
1958: the head office was opened on Nathan Road (Xianda Shop, the first leader Wangrong)
2005: the first leader Wangrong departed the earth, passing the relay baton to Billy
2006: launched more styles and added modern models
2010: the third leader Miru participated its design, website administration and Facebook pages
May, 2011: the head office moved to Bowring Mall
Apr, 2011: the second branch, Shanding Branch was opened
Sep, 2011: the third leader Miru established a Hand-made Ornaments Dept and participated in ornaments hand-making in person
Jul, 2012: Miru fully joined Xianda Shop after her graduation from the university and added new product designs
2013: added new products like embroidery insoles, little tiger shoes and hats

SLIPPERS MAKING PROCESS
Making slippers are quite complicated and of course contains more that 6 steps.
The making process starts from design embroidered patterns and the form of slippers. After that, prepare the materials and tools to start embroidering or making the vamp of slippers. Then, combine different parts together by binding and sewing. Last but not least, dry the slippers and insert lasts into the slippers and a pair of handmade slippers is made!
